Costa Mesa Facility Planning
Costa Mesa is listed in our Orange County coverage for clinical, diagnostic and specialty labs. We start with what your team stores and the temperature its protocol requires. That may lead to laboratory refrigeration, a working-stock freezer or a dedicated ULT archive.
Your access pattern and available room space determine the practical format. We confirm the selected model's requirements before delivery rather than assuming every laboratory is set up the same way.
Equipment delivery, installation and service are coordinated from our Anaheim warehouse. Off-site capacity is planned for October 2026, with expanded capacity planned for Spring 2027. Contact our team to confirm availability for your project.

What We Supply
We supply −86°C ULT freezers in upright, chest, ultra-slim, and benchtop formats, along with standard laboratory freezers and refrigeration. Where each configuration makes sense depends on your material, your room, and how your team works.
Typically used for
Cell banks, sample archives, nucleic acids, long-term biologics
Facility considerations
Typically specified for a dedicated 208–230V circuit; needs floor clearance and HVAC capacity
Typically used for
Bulk long-term archive with top access
Facility considerations
Lower profile, larger floor footprint
Typically used for
ULT storage where floor space is limited
Facility considerations
Narrow footprint for tight lab bays and shared benches
Typically used for
Working sample sets and satellite space
Facility considerations
Bench or under-counter placement; smaller units may run on 115V
Typically used for
Working reagents, extracts, kits, general laboratory inventory
Facility considerations
Upright or under-counter
Typically used for
Media, buffers, controls, drug product, blood and clinical specimens
Facility considerations
Upright, glass door, and blood bank formats

Selection Criteria
Capacity, footprint, electrical service, access, and storage configuration settle most of the decision. Before a unit is delivered, we walk the room with your team and confirm these six things. Getting them settled early keeps install day from turning into a second visit.
We confirm the circuits available in the room against the model requirement. Many full-size ULT freezers are specified for a dedicated 208 to 230V circuit with a particular receptacle type, while smaller and benchtop units may run on standard 115V.
We measure the intended location, including clearance around the unit and around neighboring equipment, so the freezer can be placed and later serviced without moving the room around.
Dock access, corridor width, door swings, elevator dimensions, and thresholds decide whether the unit reaches the room. We walk the route before the delivery date is set.
ULT freezers put heat into the room. We review the existing HVAC capacity against the number of units planned so the space does not drift warm after installation.
We identify where probes, the monitoring device, and network or cellular connectivity will sit, and who receives alarms and in what order.
We check condenser and filter access and the working space a technician needs, so preventive maintenance and repairs can be done in place.
Installation
We review the temperature requirement, inventory, placement, electrical service and delivery route for your Costa Mesa facility before equipment is ordered.
You receive a specific equipment configuration, monitoring plan and installation scope for your team to review.
Our team delivers from the Anaheim warehouse, places and levels the unit, and connects it at the intended location.
We start the unit, verify pull-down to setpoint, and confirm it holds before contents go in.
Probes, alarm thresholds, and the escalation list are configured with your team, and operators are walked through alarm response.
Monitoring & Service
A sensor without an escalation path is a data logger. We configure monitoring and escalation with your team, with response terms set in your service agreement, and dispatch service from Anaheim when a unit needs hands on it.

Why Ultracold
Buying an ULT freezer is one step in a longer project. The unit has to fit the facility, arrive ready for operation, connect to the right monitoring setup, and stay supported afterward. Being local is what makes that practical.

Not sure whether to buy equipment or reserve storage capacity?
We can review the facility and the equipment requirements before the order is finalized, including temperature range, capacity, format, placement, electrical service, and monitoring.
The same operation that coordinates the equipment can remain involved for monitoring, maintenance, and service, with documentation for each visit.
If another freezer is not the right answer, Southern California customers can reserve upcoming monitored cold-storage capacity at our Orange County facility.
Projects are coordinated from our Anaheim warehouse, so delivery, installation, and service are managed from the same local operation rather than a distant distribution network.
We are SAM.gov registered with CAGE Code 21DA7, hold California DGS Small Business certification, and carry CA CSLB license #1157801 to support institutional and government purchasing.
We provide installation records, start-up verification, temperature data exports, alarm logs, calibration certificates, and service documentation to support quality and facilities files.
Our monitored on-site cold-storage facility in Orange County opens October 2026, with expanded capacity planned for Spring 2027. Costa Mesa and Orange County teams can reserve capacity now for overflow storage, laboratory moves, contingency planning, and other cold-storage requirements.
